4. New Business
i. The subject of basic Canadian Human Rights came up with reference to these arbitrary decisions that have been made,
and individuals was asked to reflect on this aspect, and how it was effecting some of us/all of us. Most certainly the right
of appeal is fundamental to Canadians and the need for natural justice. ii. Part of the Administration manual for the Archdiocese
was reviewed particularly the element of works of art. In properties that are have significant heritage or works of art i.e.
cassavant organ, our murals, the authority of the Holy See must be given for disposal.iii. Derogatory remarks made in the
previous document were commented on as being not helpful. We will also remove names from contentious issues to avoid embarrassment.
iv.The Diocesan Feast Day is being held at the Basilica, June 27th at 7:30, and St. Brigids wishes to be represented.
We will use the banner in the church "The Caring Community" and a couple will be approached to carry it. Other parishioners
were invited to attend. v. An article was circulated from the New York Times re church closures and the enlightened approach
the Archdiocese was taking down there. To be sent to the Archbishop here. Copies will be provided in the church on Sunday.
6. The meeting ended with a prayer from Father to bless our families, and our Church. A prayer was also given
by Father for Jack Fraser and his wife who spent their 48th wedding anniversary with us. God bless them for many
more.
